Where and when?

The ceremony part of the day is booked on the Grand Place for 13.40 pm on Friday June 24. Anyone and everyone is welcome to come along to this. If you've never been to Brussels, you can't miss it - it's just inside the town hall in the rather ornate main square, right in the centre of the city. Since this is a civil ceremony, it will reasonably quick - but we've got the last slot of the day so (we're hoping) we may not be chivvied out of the premises as quickly as we might be otherwise. There will be a brief opportunity for photos etc on/around the main balcony, we're told, but we will all get evicted fairly soon after the ceremony and paperwork are completed.
After that, there will be a window of time (about 3 hours) before the reception starts, in a different part of town which isn't that far away but it's probably best to take a taxi (which shouldn't take more than 15 minutes). We'll be around during this time, most likely having a sneaky lunch or drink somewhere so feel free to come along with us, if you don't know Brussels or don't feel like striking out on your own. If you do, there's a lot to occupy your time, plenty of places to explore and cafés/restaraurants to get lunch.
For the reception, details are on another tab on this website. But you should probably aim to arrive there anytime from 5pm for apéritif and nibbly things - dinner is likely to start at around 7.30 pm.
